North German Pils

This week brewer Alex turns Adam, Dan and Mark onto a soon to be released taproom exclusive Northern German Pils. The Pilsner may have received its name from the Czech city of Pilsen but Northern Germany's adaptation of the style in the 1870's turned out considerably different beer due to a higher mineral content water and domestic German hops. Lighter in body and color than Czech pilsners, and much drier and crisper, the lingering bitterness keeps the crushability high as we keep going back for another sip.
