Guavatational Energy IPA with Guava and Passionfruit

This week Adam, Walt, Dan and Mark give in to the crush-ability and tropical pull of "Gravitational Energy". Columbus, Idaho 7, and Mosaic hops pair perfectly with tart passionfruit and guava to make an incredibly refreshing fruit forward IPA.

Star Baker and Candy Beans

This week bring a BIG 2 beer episode with Mark, Walt and Dan! First, Candy Beans Hazy IPA with Vanilla, a super juicy IPA brings more flavor than a whole bowl of candy beans. Then, if that's not enough, bring on the desert with Star Baker, inspired by the classic coconut and pecan topped confection, German chocolate cake, brewed with generous additions of cacao nibs, toasted coconut, pecan, and vanilla. Dark chocolate malts render the beer a deep, dark brown while malted oats generate a silky smooth texture. This show-stopping dessert beer is a good bake, worthy of its star status! 

Pom Pom Belgian-Style Dubbel with Pomegranate

This classic Belgian Dubbel gets a double blast of dark fruit with the addition of pomegranate. The pops of fruit complement the brew's toast, toffee, dark caramel, and dried fruit notes while amplifying this medium weight beer that's packed with bright, fine carbonation and topped with a fluffy white crown. This week Dan, Mark and Walt test the crush-ability of this beer as they prepare for Spring and beer garden hangs!

Suco - Brazillian Sour Ale brewed with Acerola, Feijoa, and Pink Peppercorns

This Sour Ale was brewed collaboratively in the Brazillian Katharina Style and features fruits popular in Rio's juice bars, or "sucos." Acerola and Feijola pack this beer with tropical fruit flavor and pink peppercorns lend the beer an earthy, fruity spice. This week we Dan, Mark, Adam and Walt test the crushability of this super juicy beer along with special guest from Forbidden Root, Brian Krajack.

Field to Fjord, a Little Fish Collaboration

Collaborations are always a treat, especially amongst good friends. This week Dan, Walt, Mark and Sean White of Little Fish Brewing get a chance to share our collaborative effort, Field to Fjord Nordic Pilsner. This crisp, refreshing pilsner is brewed collaboratively with Ohio grain, Ohio blue corn, Michigan Crystal Hops, and Oslo Kveik Yeast. The resulting beer is a crackery pilsner with floral and slightly spicy hop notes.

Spice Market - Wheat Ale with Chai Spice

Join Dan, Adam, and Mark this week as they head to the Spice Market. This Wheat Ale gets an Indian-inspired infusion of spice via the addition of Chai Spice. Notes of Cinnamon, Clove, Ginger, Cardamom, and Nutmeg shine through and lend this easy drinking beer a uniquely warming character. We also answer a question from a listener wondering if we experience the same woes of cleaning up messes in the brewery that he experiences in his own homebrewing.

Lupular Reaction IPA

This week Dan, Chris, Mark and Walt get to crushing yet another super juicy Land-Grant IPA. To give this IPA a huge burst of Guava-tastic flavor, our brewers broke down the Guava fruit's flavor compounds to their barest elements, then assigned hops with similar flavors (Mosaic, Citra, Huell Melon, and Simcoe) to rebuild the Guava's experience via lupulin!

Take the Six Seven Oh to the Three One Five and take that on down to Town Street and cruise east til you catch the rich aroma of hops on the breeze. This IPA, fashioned after the classic West Coast IPAs that defined craft beer in the 2000s. When you need to get away from It All, it's time to get there fast, and take it slow.
