BWTB -And Beyond Black IPA with Coffee

Justin, Walt and Mark discuss our annual Space-Grant series Black IPA, featuring Chinook, Simcoe, Azacca hops. Brewed with bold Crimson Cup Kossa Kebena and Antiqua Finca el Cadejo Coffee it is a deep-space black IPA that blasts off seeking new Tropical horizons. 2021 marks both 60 years of manned space flight, and the 40th anniversary of NASA's first space shuttle launch which took flight on April 12th, 1981. The groundbreaking shuttle program ran for 50 years until 2011, and ten years later we are poised to continue that legacy of discovery. This year, NASA continues our drive for exploration and with the planned launch of Artemis 1. The launch, scheduled for this November, will be the first step in our planned return to the moon in 2024.

Capital Companions plus Barrel-Aged Beers

Like birds of a feather, you'll always find Columbus and Mosaic hops a flight upon the aromatic winds of dank citrus and resinous tropical fruit. These airborne companions blow in a foggy, hazy cloud of huge flavor and juicy vibes throughout the Capital City!

This week Justin, Dan, Walt and Mark get a chance to sample Capital Companions Columbus-Mosaic Hazy IPA and describe the delights of our two barrel-aged offerings, Spirited Acquaintances Bourbon Barrel-Aged Ale, a collaboration with Middle West Spirits and Uisce Beatha Irish Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Coffee Stout with Lactose and Stauf’s coffee. This episode is jam packed with flavor!

Lifty IPA, It's a Festivus Miracle!

Welcome all! It's a Festivus, for the rest of us! This week Mark, Dan, Adam, and Walt celebrate Festivus by testing the crush-ability of our latest IPA, Lifty. Winter is here and it may seem like a long way up that mountain...but we're gonna let you in on a little shortcut: Lifty is a comfy-cozy blast of Southern Hemisphere sunshine, a rejuvenating citrus-powered ride above the weather brought to you by Waimea, Wakatu, and Rakau hops. Along the way, you'll enjoy wide vistas of orange marmalade, candied lime peel, and apricot jam.

Sour Plum Fairy

This week Dan, Walt and Mark sample our latest holiday sour, Sour Plum Fairy. This sour ale is reminiscent of a tasty tart and is packed with peach, plum, elderberry, and vanilla for a fruit-forward performance with a creamy finish. A new tradition deserving of a curtain call!

Frozen Grove - Spiced Winter Wheat Ale brewed with Orange

This week head brewer Dan, Adam and Mark get a hint of summer's warmth in the heart of winter by drinking our new spiced witbier, Frozen Grove. This wit-style Winter Wheat Ale is spiced and brewed with Orange Zest for an aromatic, refreshing, and energizing jolt of sunshine to melt away these frigid months.

Thanksgiving Special - Throwback Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving BWTB listeners! On a special "TBT" episode we go back in time to our 6th Anniversary celebration where we recorded two LIVE panel discussions for our Beers with the Brewers Podcast. These discussions were broadcast live via Instagram on Saturday, October 17. The Land-Grant brewers took the stage at 6pm to get super technical on how these delicious suds are crafted. Head brewer, Dan Shaffer, along with Justin and Chris, part of our amazing brew team taste through the six pack brewed up special for our sixth birthday and answer questions in front of a live audience.
