Jeni and her inspiring team of doers, makers, and scoopers have been celebrating Ohio’s strawberry harvest—specifically that of Hirsch Fruit Farm in Chillicothe—each June with their Strawberry Buttermilk Ice Cream. At Land-Grant, we couldn’t resist brewing up a sublime complement to that annual rite of summer. Elixir, a highly drinkable hibiscus-infused Pale Ale pours a vibrant pink and pairs perfectly with strawberries—either in Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, or fresh off the vine. 13.1 Wheat will be available at Land-Grant’s taproom, Giant Eagle stores in Central Ohio, and various bars and restaurants along the course in the weeks leading to Race Day on April 28. Runners and walkers in this year’s event will receive a complimentary can of 13.1 Wheat at the finish line.
