Splendid Berry Brut

This week Kayla, Walt, Dan and Mark taste a beer perfect for pairing with Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream, our new Splendid Berry Brut! In Ohio, summer means three things: Beer, Ice Cream, and Strawberries. Once again we’ve teamed up with Columbus Ice Cream Champions, Jeni’s, to brew up the perfect, easy-sipping complement to their annual Strawberry Jam. The early summer bash that celebrates the sunshine-minded makers, brewers, artists, lovers, and musicians of Central Ohio. Splendid is an effervescently dry, brut beer brewed to showcase fresh berries and the sweet lemon aroma of Lemondrop hops. Whichever variety of pint you prefer, summer is here!

Pool Party Pilsner 2019

This week Adam, Walt, Dan and Mark take a quick dip in the pool... with a Pool Party! This Pilsner takes its traditional base south of the equator with the addition of Souther Hemisphere hops known for their subtle aromas of tropical fruit and citrus—creating a highly drinkable and incredibly refreshing beer. So, when the weather heats up, throw on some sunscreen, hide your wallet in your shoe, grab a pils, and dive in head first.

Join us this week as Mark, Adam, Dan, Walt and events manager extraordinaire Kayla discuss our second release in our new quarterly Concentrate Hazy IPA series and run through a myriad of upcoming goings on down here at the Land-Grant Brewing taproom and beer garden. Concentrate is brewed with both traditional and Cryo-Hops (concentrated lupulin from whole-leaf hops containing resins and aromatic oil) to deliver massive amounts of juicy, hoppy aroma and hop flavor.

Sun-Grant Series - Helios Rustic Lager

This week join Adam, Walt, Chris and Mark as we talk about our annual sun-Grant beer. Each beer in the series is named for a different sun god and are are brewed to highlight our sustainability and community initiatives. 2019’s is an easy drinking lager featuring local honey.

LOCAL HONEY / From Stratford Ecological Center in Delaware, Ohio
OHIO MALTS / Pilsner malt From Haus Malts in Cleveland, Ohio
MIDWEST HOPS / Triple Pearl hops from Michigan
KVEIK YEAST / Fermented at a lower temp for higher electrical efficiency

For every pint pour and six-pack sold, $2 will go towards our internal Sun-Grant Fund which we’ll use to finance equipment upgrades, building improvements, and anything else that will continue to reduce our environmental impact.

Wake up everyone, it's Greeny season! This week Walt, Adam, Chris and Mark enjoy warmer weather and the perfect companion Greenskeeper as it returns to the shelves just in time for a round of golf, greens keeping or just about anything you enjoy. Big citrus hop flavor that doesn’t overpower, medium body, and a low ABV allow for prolonged enjoyment through even the longest of afternoons. This is an IPA that deserves a day off.
